Maxx Corkindale is an Australian Cinematographer who is able to work between styles and genres, switching easily between Film & TV projects to Music Video and Documentary. His recent work includes Rolf de Heer's latest feature "The Survival of Kindness", which was In Competition at Berlinale in 2023, and the breakout Shudder Feature "You’ll Never Find Me", by Indianna Bell and Josiah Allen. Princess Pictures “Stake Out”, starring Danny Huston, Charlee Fraser, and Brenton Thwaites, is slated to release in cinemas mid-2026. The hybrid Documentary/Drama "The Speedway Murders" is now screening on Netflix, and the Comedy Documentary “Mockbuster” is screening nationally in the US through distributor Giant Pictures. “Axis of Impersonators” is currently in Post-Production and will be released in 2027. Maxx is also responsible for the ABC Doco series "Eat The Invaders", and an episode of the ABC dramedy series "Aftertaste", and 2nd Unit Cinematography on both the Cannes/Netflix hit "The Stranger", and the BBC/HBOMax series "The Tourist". Maxx filmed with director Molly Reynolds for four years to create the AACTA-winning feature documentary "My Name is Gulpilil" - esteemed actor David Gulpilil’s life story - which he counts as a career highlight. Maxx has shot two ARIA-nominated music videos for the Australian hip-hop group Hilltop Hoods; "Cosby Sweater" and "Exit Sign". He thoroughly enjoys the creative freedom and expression that this genre provides.
