The Cool Kids Klinik has a vast experience in helping children to pass through different fears. However, most of the exposure therapy conducted today still recurs to traditional tools, and most of the time can be a lengthy process. Cool Kids wanted to explore the potential of VR in speeding up the therapy process and approached Khora to work together on creating a new solution. To help children get over their fears of flying on an airplane we created a series of 360º video experiences of being on an airplane with different scenarios that could provide different levels of intensity and thus trigger different levels of anxiety in the patients. By being able to expose the patients to their fears in a safe and controlled environment, the therapist hopes to help the patient get over their fears with more ease and in a quicker way.
The production of this project was supported by the Danish Airport Transport (DAT) organization.
