Covestro had the dual goals of driving culture change while identifying innovations to move their business forward. This innovation challenge gave employees across the organization a chance to share their ideas and compete for funding of their projects, in an approach similar to a start-up accelerator. Following the initial innovation challenge, the top 25 teams attended idea camps to further develop concepts. These idea camps consisted of small-scale, one-day, boot camps across Europe, Asia and North America to ensure employees around the globe could participate. The winning team, Go Clear, developed a concept for clean, safe and efficient repair coating and were given one million euros in funding and 12 months of dedicated time to bring their idea to life.
