Pass It on Reinvents Classroom Education
Experimentarium is a technical museum and activity park in Copenhagen, where anyone can come and learn about natural sciences in a playful way. In connection with the 200th year anniversary for the Danish school system, Molamil and Experimentarium were tasked by Lundbeckfonden and the Skole 200 secretary to design and develop an app that would introduce and teach students about 4 historical communication technologies - and how the concept of communication has evolved during history. We created a smartphone app that simulated four historical communication tools in a multi-player game. The app can be used by groups of 3 to 4 within a school class. The game is tied together by a narrative including contextual videos and instructions. The students are given points on how well they sent, received, and translated messages using the 4 technologies. The app was tested at elementary schools and adjusted and refined to fit the very demanding target group. https://www.molamil.com/
