Beyond Letters
Beyond Letters is a poetic campaign that uses linguistic constraint as a form of resistance: seven original poems, each built exclusively from words beginning with a single letter from “LGBTQIA+,” narrate cycles of violence, resilience, love, and liberation. Emerging in a context marked by both hostility toward diversity and empty performative allyship, the project seeks to restore authenticity to the movement by honoring the struggles, voices, and pioneers who initiated and continue to fight for equality. Rather than adding noise, it transforms language itself into protest and remembrance, giving each letter emotional weight and historical depth. The poems were activated across social, street, retail, and audiovisual spaces, and voiced by members of the community, turning typography, sound, and storytelling into a collective act of visibility. Beyond each letter, the work insists, there is a struggle that deserves to be told.
