Animal Rights organisation Bite Back wanted to educate people around the mental suffering of animals kept in captivity. Often, the animals that are kept in captivity, develop a mental illness called 'zoochosis', characterised by repetitive walking patterns, swaying or head bobbing. But when people see this behaviour, they think it's funny and don't realise the seriousness of the situation. We targeted people visiting the zoo, at the moment they are confronted with animals in captivity. How? By creative use of Instagram Stories and showing raw footage of animals showing repetitive behaviour. At first, people thought it was yet another cool 'Boomerang', only to be confronted with the reality behind the footage.
