ComfortDelGro is a brand synonymous with public transport in Singapore, and prides itself on being one of the largest land transport companies in the world, running taxi fleets, bus routes, and train lines, among others. R/GA designed the business and tech stack for Zig—Singapore’s first-ever mobility lifestyle platform. They defined the opportunity areas for ComfortDelGro, based on consumer behavior. Zig was founded on a sustainable business model and launched through a mobile-first platform. Leveraging the multidisciplinary consulting, design, and technology teams, R/GA crafted Zig from the ground up to create unique value for consumers. Using Flutter, Google’s latest mobile technology platform, R/GA built the app once and deployed it twice, for iOS and Android. Speed to market was key to the digital venture for ComfortDelGro. Within six months, the digital business was designed from scratch and launched in app stores. Made for millions, Zig is powered by a lean and real-time data-driven tech stack. Zig users can easily find the best route for their trips, compare transport prices, book and pay for rides, discover attractions and experiences, make reservations, find promotions and deals, and much more However, the company needed to strengthen its focus on digital and tech solutions, to ensure it adapts to the evolving needs of consumers.
