The Glass Universe
‘The Glass Universe' at Glasmuseet Ebeltoft let the visitor explore the magical universe of glass – as both physical and digital material. The exhibition is created in collaboration with Hans Thyge & Co. The Glass Museum in Ebeltoft owns an impressive collection of glass art and everyday glass objects. Combining film, glass artefacts and interactive installations the exhibition invites the visitors to touch, feel and manipulate all sorts of glass creating an engaging museum experience. With the use of sound and lighting the exhibition ‘The Glass Universe’ becomes an immersive experience built around four interactive installations: an interactive glass soundscape, a digital kaleidoscope of mesmerising shapes and colours in glass, talking glass objects and a digital glass blower. The exhibition combines both digital and physical communication methods. In the installation ‘The glass blower’ visitors can create their own digital glass art by blowing, forming and painting glass structures using both physical and multi-touch controls. The visitors can the display their finished digital glass objects in the exhibition on holographic 'ghost' screens, as well as they can share their glass object with others via email. https://www.yoke.dk/
