Digital Curriculum Prototype
Gonge Creative Learning is among the leading companies on a global basis within the niche of motor playing tools for child care institutes for pre-school children. In recent years, both the Chinese child care institutes and the growing Chinese middle class have shown increased interest in Gonge’s products. To accommodate this interest, Gonge needed a cultural adjustment of the way in which they traditionally communicated their message about their playing tools. In close collaboration with Gonge and various experts on the export of pedagogy to China, specialists in children’s physiotherapy, and sheer sinologists, we developed and tested the digital curriculum on Chinese teachers and salesmen. Because of China’s current lack of teachers, we discovered how important it was that the curriculum be a quick and effective introduction for the qualified personnel to Gonge’s pedagogical approach. The result is a prototype, which focuses on communicating the stimulation of the children’s creative and innovative competencies coming into play on a busy ordinary day. The prototype is ready for being taken a step further into an actual end-product, as either an app or a website. The project is a part of Midtnet Kina - which roughly translates to “Mid-network China” - a strategic collaboration between Region Midtjylland - the region of central Jutland - and Shanghai, China. The project is supported by the European Regional Development Fund and Region Midtjylland.
