Hip Hop Hátíð Menningarnætur Festival
Hip Hop Hátíð Menningarnætur is one day festival that takes place during Culture Night in Reykjavík. Founded by a group of friends who shared a love of Hip Hop and wanted to change the lack of its representation. The aim was to showcase the vibrant scene that was flourishing in Iceland at the time and give new and upcoming artists the chance to step on stage with established artists. We hosted the festival four years in a row from 2016-2019 and quickly became a stable in Culture Nights program as the main destination for young people during the night. With an average attendance of 8000 people, the festival was free of charge and ran on sponsorships.
