The Stockholm county administrative board recognized that violence in close relationships is a big societal problem in the county. They asked themselves "how do we reach someone who doesn't want to listen?", to protect the victims they therefore decided to create the support hotline "Välj att sluta" (Choose to stop) for perpetrators. The inspiration behind this campaign came from the bestselling novel "Pappaklausulen" by Jonas Hassen Khemiri. Prime Weber Shandwick, Länsstyrelsen Stockholm (The Stockholm county administrative board), and Jonas Hassen Khemiri, together decided to write a whole new chapter for the book. This chapter, ”the second perspective” , was written through the perspective of the violent boyfriend and it was launched as a pocket, as a soundbook and on Spotify along with a bigger campaign. The campaign was successfull throughout national media, and througout the first 7 months of the campaign hundreds of perpetrator called the hotline to ask for help and guidance.
