Gateway to the Round Tower
Commemorating the 375th anniversary, the Round Tower celebrates itself with an exhibition unfolding both known and unknown stories about the old tower. Discoveries have been made in the tower and institutions have started here. Fairy tales have been told about this inspiring place that unifies the ideas of an entire era in its thick walls. We did one of the 5 installations in the exhibition: “The fantasy runs through the Round Tower” based on different stories from the archive - some famous and others mere small hidden treasures. From the Ygenykke, the Round Towers own (kinda evil) bird mascot to H.C.Andersens famous story about the soldier who confronts 3 dogs - one with eyes as big as the Round Tower. A circular screen with a transparent cloth was the physical installation where the customized fairytale animation was projected upon. Using the circular screen to big effect with hypnotic travel scenes and surrounding attacks from the yggernykker - the audience got to experience the fairytales in an immersive setting. http://darkmatters.dk/
