Tivoli’s iconic Rutschebane is a symbol of Danish entertainment and culture, connecting generations through shared experiences. The BioSpil campaign is the culmination of Tivoli’s mission to create multigenerational experiences, now extended into advertising through an innovative 1:1 digital interaction. Rather than altering the original experience, the campaign introduced a fully immersive six-minute interactive cinema game, blending the excitement of Tivoli with modern gamification to captivate audiences. The campaign integrated Tivoli’s branding seamlessly into a social gaming experience, using gamification to engage users and bring the Rutschebane to life in a way that could be seen, heard, and felt—offering a fresh take on a timeless attraction. The campaign aimed to inspire and unite audiences across generations while evoking nostalgia, excitement, and anticipation. By focusing on younger cinema audiences, Tivoli ensured its brand resonates with future generations. The BioSpil format was a natural fit, addressing younger audiences who often use ad blockers and skip traditional video ads. With half of BioSpil users under 25, the platform was ideal for engaging Gen Z and Millennials, bridging the digital and physical worlds to reimagine the Tivoli experience. Tivoli utilized its strongest brand assets—iconic visuals, sounds, and symbols such as harlequins, peacocks, and signage—to ensure an immersive and consistent brand presence. An annual brand asset analysis identified these key elements, which were integrated into the BioSpil to evoke the emotional connection and authenticity associated with Tivoli.
