In 2024, the University of Phoenix campaign “Tortoise and Hare” reimagined the classic fable with a modern twist, set 100 years after the original race in a world where speed is outlawed. The story follows Harold the hare, who has a breakthrough business idea but struggles to find direction, until he teams up with a thoughtful tortoise. Together, they enroll in University of Phoenix courses to develop their skills and prove that adapting and learning can turn speed into a strategic advantage. The campaign was built as a cinematic, world-driven narrative, using detailed concept design, miniature practical sets, and carefully crafted props and environments to create a stylized, slightly dystopian version of a Pacific Northwest-inspired town. Additional content extended the story, including a parallel narrative where Tori, the tortoise character, becomes a successful game design leader who passes on her knowledge of efficient, forward-thinking approaches to success.
