The Case for Saving Water
The Case for Saving Water is a direct marketing and outdoor intervention created for Visit Portugal in response to the severe drought affecting the Algarve. While locals faced water restrictions, tourism consumption remained disproportionately high. Installed at Faro Airport during peak summer travel, the campaign transformed the luggage carousel into a powerful visual statement: six transparent suitcases, each filled with the amount of water a tourist could save per day by changing behaviour. By confronting travellers at the exact moment of arrival, the campaign reframed sustainability as a personal responsibility, extending into hotel lobbies to reinforce the message and earning a Silver Award at the 2025 ADC Europe Awards.
