Grand Old. Brand New.
Between the years 1902 and 1966 NK's French ladies tailoring was the most popular in the Nordics. Based on this time period a book and an exhibition, both named "Nordens Paris (Paris in North)" was published at the Nordic Museum in Stockholm. In turn, three Swedish fashion designers were asked to interpret three original designs featured in the book and exhibition: Miss Sach’s Coat, Miss Ulrich’s dress, and Miss Kalderén's dress. The modern designs created by Behnaz Aram, Nellie Kamras (Stand Studio), and Linn Eklund were exhibited in NK's display window. The original patterns can be found here, in order to encourage the audience to create their own interpretation. The original patterns were created by Balenciaga and Christian Dior.
