The Great Home of China
Creating hospitality in one of the most unexpected places. After 2,600 years of history The Great Wall of China is now on Airbnb. The 13,000 miles long wall, and one of the seven wonders of the world, could be your home for a night in a spot via Fred & Farid Shanghai. We were asked to develop Airbnb Night@ program in Mainland China but they didn’t want to make a simple ‘stunt’ for quick headlines. They were interested in choosing a location that would reflect their core value: “Belong Anywhere”. So in divisive times, we took one of the most iconic “wall” in the world and turned it into the most welcoming place possible : a home. Airbnb’s founder Nathan Blecharczyk revealed the campaign saying : “We are so proud to partner in this truly collective effort to highlight such an incredible landmark that now serves to unify people rather than divide them”. https://fredfarid.com/work
