Guest Annexe at Ore Strand
The guest annex is near a small private holiday cottage property from the 1970’s. The annex is shaped like an irregular black-painted wooden box for two main reasons: partly to create a contact and view towards the nearby beach and sea, and partly to create a proximity and contact to the surrounding garden. The annex has a direct connection to the existing summer house via a wooden terrace that connects the annex with the holiday home. The interior of the annex is characterized by the changing nature of daylight, exemplified by the obliquely placed shed light and the unilaterally pitched roof. All interior surfaces, ceiling, floor and walls are covered with matt lacquer. The interior stands in stark contrast to the exterior's vertically mounted black painted larch wood molding, linking it to the surrounding holidays cottages.
