Sea to Stars
Despite the high awareness of the Navy brand, a deep understanding of its mission was a challenge. “Forged by the Sea” represents transformation for Centennials who are looking to ultimately become a better version of themselves. It captures a sense of discovery, while showing how Sailors are Forged by the Sea through meaningful adventure, strength and creative ingenuity The film’s visual effects take viewers on a journey from a few miles beneath the sea to hundreds of miles above it, capturing the impact that the Navy has in every aspect of our lives. The US Navy operates everywhere from the sea floor to outer space, so telling the entire story has production challenges. With national security concerns, scheduling conflicts and not being able to film 5 miles below the sea or 200 miles above it, we had to rely on visual effects to help.
