Caitlin’s Hour
Listeners who tuned in to Hits Radio Network and Kerrang! Radio across the UK from 2-3am on Sunday 6th June will have heard something they won’t have been expecting. Instead of the usual late-night tunes and chat, they’ll have heard a show called Caitlin’s Hour - an hour-long celebration of the life of Caitlin Huddleston, who died aged just 18 years old, in a car crash on a rural road. The show aired at a time when young drivers are more at risk than any other versus older drivers on rural roads. Sadly, Caitlin’s story is one of far too many. New research by the AA Charitable Trust highlights the dangers posed to young drivers by rural roads. And it’s to draw attention to these dangers that this unique and one-off show was created.
