In collaboration with Trifork, the Association of Danish Pharmacies has developed the app “apoteket” (The Pharmacy), which contributes to the further digitalization of the Danish healthcare sector for the benefit of both citizens and professional healthcare providers. “The app provides a better overview of the pharmacies’ stocks, which the authorities and patient associations have asked for, in order to minimize the risk of problems with the supply of important medicines. In addition, it is of great help to the individual user to gather all important information about his or her medication in one place and the app even has some features that make it much easier to buy and take medicine” Jesper Gulev Larsen, Chairman of the Association of Danish Pharmacies. In the app 'apoteket' you can, among other things, renew prescriptions, see reimbursement status and price, create a fixed order for medicine and get help to take the medicine correctly. It is also possible to see if your favorite pharmacy has the medicine you need in stock, and if not, the app shows the way to other pharmacies nearby that have the medicine on the shelf. This can be done because the app is connected to relevant systems from the Joint Medicine Card (FMK) to the pharmacies' storage systems. Finally, you can order and pick up your medicine from the pharmacy using a click & collect function.
