Blackbird started in 2015 due to a frustration over installing expensive and complex data collection systems on production lines. We learned that there was a need for better and cheaper technology that did not require complex and time-consuming IT resources. Branching from Emendo Consulting Group, Blackbird was established with the vision of making production data easily accessible through user-friendly interfaces and innovative technology that would reduce wasted resources in manufacturing companies. Blackbird's solution is a cloud-based IIoT solution for data collection and analysis that helps manufacturing companies become more efficient and data-driven. Our technology and infrastructure are groundbreaking and in line with the latest security standards and the unique cloud architecture enables our solution to be infinitely scalable. Our technology is cutting-edge and the solution branches off from Industry 4.0's smart-factory reality. Vi er en tech scale-up, der leverer smart factory solutions bestående af IIoT-enheder (Industrial Industry of Things) og dataanalysesoftware. Vi hjælper producenter med at tackle de største udfordringer i deres produktionsprocesser ved at gøre brug af smart data opsamling. Den bærende indsigt og viden om behovet for data, stammer fra vores dybe kendskab til målgruppen. Produktionsindustriens største hovedpine er at reducere spildte ressourcer, optimere processer og producere mere bæredygtigt. Her kommer Blackbirds end-to-end løsning ind i billedet. For at komme af med hovedpinen har virksomhederne brug for indsigt i hvordan produktionen kører, og her er data den bedste kur og berigelseskilde. I Blackbird applikationen er historisk og realtid data visualiseret og viser brugeren i realtid hvordan produktionen kører og informerer om fejl. Den akkumulerer dataene over hele perioden, hvorved den kan bruges til analyser, strategier og nye forretningsmodeller for netop at producere smartere og mere bæredygtigt. Applikationen er et dagligt værktøj, der bruges fra operatøren på gulvet, til teknikeren, til fabrikschefen og op til direktøren. Hvordan opsamler man så data fra produktionslinjer? Blackbird har udviklet et in-house produkt kendt som Factbird. Factbird er et cloudbaseret dataindsamlings- og analysesystem med en lille eftermonteringshardware, der bruger en standardsensor til at detektere varer på en produktionslinje. Det blev specielt udviklet til at være enkelt, men meget effektivt. Den installeres på 5 minutter og er straks online og leverer øjeblikkeligt produktionsdata på enhver smartphone, tablet eller pc i realtid. Factbirden hjælper produktionsvirksomheder med at forstå deres produktionslinjer yderligere ved at overvåge og analysere specifikke Key Performance Indicators samt den samlede udstyrseffektivitet. Factbird kommer i mange versioner, såsom Factbird Digital, Factbird Analogue og Factbird View, hvor man bl.a. via video kan se hvad der foregår på en produktionslinje i realtid. Blackbird startede i 2015 ud af frustration af at der ikke fandtes en enkel og simpel dataopsamlingsløsning. Den løsning har vi nu lavet og uden nogen form for kommerciel tilgang har produktet solgt sig selv til det punkt hvor vi i dag har en kundeliste der indeholder nogle af de største virksomheder i medicinalindustrien, fødevareindustrien og bilindustrien. Der er +1500 sensorer online dagligt, installationer i 27 lande og +250 millioner datapunkter om dagen. Og tilbagemeldingerne er at brugerne bl.a. oplever reducerede cyklustider, forbedret oppetid, øget produktion og øget OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency). Alt sammen noget som gør det muligt for dem at producere smartere, mere effektivt og med færre ressourcer. En af vores danske brugere har i løbet af 12 måneder brugt Blackbirds løsninger på 150 produktionslinjer, som er forbundet i 5 lande. Det har givet dem datagennemsigtighed i virksomheden, der har hjulpet dem til at benchmarke fabrikkerne igennem. Det har gjort dem i stand til at mindske ressourcespild, producere mere effektivt og de har kunne mærke det på bundlinjen da det har givet dem 2 mio. euro afkast af investeringen i det første år. Investeringen vil komme vores brugere til gode, da midlerne bl.a. bruges på at fortsætte med vores cutting-edge teknologiudvikling og fremskynde vores mål om at kunne levere endnu flere produkter. The application is a daily tool used from the operator on the floor, to the technician, to the factory manager and up to the director. So how do you collect data from production lines? Blackbird has developed an in-house product known as Factbird. Factbird is a cloud-based data collection and analysis system with a small retrofit hardware that uses a standard sensor to detect items on a production line. It was specially designed to be simple but very effective. It installs in 5 minutes and is instantly online and instantly delivers production data on any smartphone, tablet or PC in real time. Factbirden helps manufacturing companies further understand their production lines by monitoring and analyzing specific Key Performance Indicators as well as overall equipment efficiency. Factbird comes in many versions, such as Factbird Digital, Factbird Analogue and Factbird View, where you, among other things. via video can see what's going on on a production line in real time. All this which enables them to produce smarter, more efficiently and with fewer resources. In the course of 12 months, one of our Danish users has used Blackbird's solutions on 150 production lines, which are connected in 5 countries. It has given them data transparency in the company that has helped them benchmark the factories through. It has enabled them to reduce resource waste, produce more efficiently and they have been able to feel it on the bottom line as it has given them 2 million. euro return on investment in the first year. Others can also see the value and potential. At the beginning of 2022, Blackbird received investment capital of 35 million from i.a. Vækstfonden. The investment will benefit our users, as the funds include used to continue our cutting-edge technology development and accelerate our goal of delivering even more products. This will help even more companies participate in the Industry 4.0 revolution. Blackbird is already well on its way to strengthening the manufacturing industry and making it more efficient in terms of climate, resources and economy.
