The bBag
Wunderman Thompson Benelux has launched the bBAG for bpost, Belgium’s largest postal company, to promote environmentally friendly parcel collection. Research from Vrije Universiteit Brussel indicates that deliveries to pick-up points reduce carbon emissions by about 30%, and this figure soars to 90% when parcels are picked up on foot or by bike. The bBAG is a versatile backpack designed to accommodate parcels of various sizes, including bpost's extra-large boxes. Made in Belgium from recycled materials—like truck tarpaulins and fabric from old jackets—the bBAG is both adjustable and sustainable. To encourage sustainable practices, bpost is offering 100 unique bBAGs to individuals who switch their delivery preferences to pick-up points. Participants can enter a competition on the bBAG website, where they can also learn about other bpost green initiatives.
