The Feeling Ceiling
Frazzled and Revolt teamed up to create ‘The Feeling Ceiling,’ an innovative digital sky ceiling installation at Printworks Manchester that uses dynamic weather visuals to spark conversations about mental health during Mental Health Awareness Week. Displayed on Europe’s largest digital ceiling, the interactive experience invites visitors to describe their mental state by selecting weather icons on a touchscreen, triggering animations like anxious dark clouds or sunny skies above them. This immersive campaign, combining VFX, audio, and lighting, transforms everyday weather talk into a meaningful dialogue about emotions, inspired by Frazzled founder Ruby Wax’s approach to easing mental health conversations. Winner of Ocean Outdoor’s 2024 Digital Creative Competition, the project aims to break mental health stigma by making emotional check-ins as common as chatting about the weather, addressing the fact that 45% of Brits rarely open up about their feelings despite daily small talk.
