Candy Crush x Thundercat: Upside Down
For Candy Crush Saga’s 2025 Music Season, “Upside Down” is a playful collision of music, film, and gameplay, transforming Thundercat’s reimagining of a Diana Ross disco classic into the world’s first playable live-action music video. Set in a pink-hued, candy-bright universe directed by Fx Goby, the experience lets viewers either watch linearly or actively shape the story through Candy Crush’s signature match-three mechanic, where swiping through trios of objects drives the action forward. Built with Nexus Studios and Pablo London, the project blends live-action performance, choreography, practical sets, VFX, and interactive design into a single continuous experience — a sugar-fuelled fusion where game logic and cinematic craft operate as one.
