Bookboards
KAYAK has launched its summer “Bookboards” campaign, created with Rethink, to tackle the common problem of group trips that never progress beyond the group chat. Inspired by research showing that 84% of planned group trips never happen—often because one friend refuses to commit—the campaign features personalised digital billboards in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles calling out nominated travel procrastinators near their homes and workplaces. A 74-second hero film starring actress and comedian Grace Reiter and her real-life friend Julia Dicesare brings the idea to life as humorous “Bookboards” follow Grace everywhere before revealing she is the friend holding up the trip. Running across online video, out-of-home, social, earned media and a dedicated landing page, the campaign also invites users to nominate their own indecisive friend for a chance to appear on a real billboard.
