Kode With Klossy, a free coding camp for teenagers founded by Karlie Kloss, has grown tremendously since its inception in 2015 and its branding needed to reflect this. The organization tasked YummyColours to reflect the camp's focus on the intersection of code and creativity, young folks in STEAM, and the learning of tangible skills within a fresh new strategy, visual identity, and narrative. Using collected data from the organization's current community, YummyColours analyzed the audience within three demographic categorizations-age, gender identity, and race. This information informed the strategy that they built to internalize inclusivity, and transparency, and use affirming language in order to rebuild the STEAM industry and evolve empowerment. They worked with Kode With Klossy internal team for this brand refresh. They used graphic elements as space creators. Inspired by the box cursor of computer terminals, the shapes within the words like the O or the U are used to highlight the KWK community celebrating the creators, the scholars, and the instructors within it. A bolder graphic system including a fresh color palette, new typography, and the icons system allows Kode with Klossy to be fun and up to date.
