Last Swim
The Quebec Lifesaving Society launches “The Last Swim,” a bilingual water-safety campaign created to combat the drop in vigilance that often comes as summer ends. The campaign uses a disturbing visual illusion in which real models lie inside body bags covered with fabrics that replicate the exact textures of open water, suggesting how quickly an enjoyable swim can become fatal without a personal flotation device. Photographer Raphaël Ouellet captured the models in actual body bags alongside aerial drone photography of different bodies of water, creating seamless images that blur the line between water and death. Running across the SÉPAQ network, local OOH and radio, the campaign delivers a stark reminder that water risks remain as summer draws to a close and that a lifejacket remains essential protection.
