The Call
Ahead of a landmark year for US soccer, MLS launched the ‘MLS Is Back’ campaign as part of a year-long fan engagement strategy designed to convert heightened World Cup interest into lasting league loyalty. Centered on live moments, player personalities, and community culture, the social-first launch film ‘The Call’ turns a simple training session into a contagious group call, inviting fans to join the energy of the new season. With a tone that is playful, human, and immediate, the campaign shifts away from traditional epic sports tropes to focus on connection and accessibility. Supported by additional broadcast spots, live activations, and experiential partnerships, the broader strategy positions MLS as the natural home for fans before, during, and after the World Cup—highlighting hometown heroes, local pride, and the league’s unique role in shaping the future of soccer in North America.
