A Platform For Loyalty
Clock secured a significant bid in 2008 to construct the pioneering consumer loyalty platform, Times+, for News UK. After five successful years, News UK sought a revamp to modernize the design, improve usability, and upgrade the technical aspects of the platform. Addressing navigation and formatting issues, user research drove enhancements such as improved map functionality and interactive features to boost retention rates. The technical migration from PHP to Node.js allowed for scalability, while Backbone.js empowered the content team with extensive control over site elements. The redesign focused on device compatibility, Times rebranding, and decluttering, resulting in impressive metrics: a 92% retention rate among active users versus 53% among non-active users, a reduced bounce rate of 18%, and a 40% increase in dwell time, marking the Times+ platform as a resounding success. www.clock.co.uk
