Publimetro in Colombia, in partnership with Grey, launched "Corruption City," a video game that spotlights the issue of corruption by presenting a virtual mega-city valued at $6.7 billion. The city represents the cost of 1,400 unfinished or abandoned public projects in Colombia, all financed by taxpayers. In the game, players can explore the virtual city, learn about the projects' costs and contractors, and understand how much each Colombian paid. The game also features a petition that players can sign to demand that authorities reactivate these neglected projects. The campaign, launched in May 2023, aims to raise awareness of corruption's impact on society and call for accountability and action from authorities.
