Overview: Software AG is the second largest software vendor in Germany and the seventh largest in Europe. A leader in platform integration and IoT for enterprises, the Software AG platform will help unleash your vision in a more intelligent, connected world. A victim of their own success growing out from many software acquisitions, they approached Momentum to understand the differing types of users, their needs, and how to direct them to the right solution of data, or tech support, knowledge base, community, and for what products throughout this journey. Challenge: Momentum was challenged to solve a more coherent solution for many different developers' needs, from information to documentation, support, or using/integrating a wide range of products. Our Approach: Creating Solutions With an Evidence-Based Approach. Momentum took a design-thinking approach to the challenge. Momentum spent a considerable amount of time delving into the differing products, the technical debt, differing developer needs, and understanding current pain points. This evidence-based approach meant we could create solutions that better align with the users. Research - User Interviews - Expert Analysis - Discovery Workshop - Competitive Analysis Strategy - Journey Mapping - Vision Concepts - Solution Validation - Wireframes - Design System Outcome: Unified and Consistent Design System. With a set of flexible designs to roll-out in parallel with their new brand launch, Software AG now has a unified, consistent brand and set of products that integrate within the same design language, flows, and interconnect based on what their developers had hoped for to support their needs. As a result of the design system and its impact, Software AG decided to launch the solution throughout their website front-facing products/services, as well as all their other products.
