Beyond the Rings l Decathlon
In 2024, SporTV launched the "Beyond the Rings" campaign to honor Brazilian rowers Evaldo Becker and Piedro Tuchtenhagen, who put their Olympic dreams on hold to help communities devastated by floods in Rio Grande do Sul. The initiative aims to raise funds for the local rowing federation's damaged training center. With support from Decathlon, who previously aided the region with donations, the campaign now sponsors Evaldo and Piedro's Olympic preparation. Decathlon also joined SporTV to present the "Eternal Flame," inspiring future athletes and highlighting the resilience of the Gaucho people. The campaign emphasizes that the true Olympic spirit is rooted in solidarity and community impact, not just competition. It includes a fundraising platform to support the revitalization of the rowing federation.
