The Visit
The Stroke Association has partnered with Arthur London to create a poignant, heartfelt film “The Visit” produced by Mrs Baxter, highlighting the harsh realities faced by survivors and their families in the aftermath of a stroke. Recent research has proven that the public’s awareness of identifying a stroke is limited to the FAST acronym (face, arms, speech, time) and that it is one of the biggest killers in the UK. Less well known is the understanding of the long road to recovery stroke survivors face. Arthur London was briefed to build a new cultural narrative around stroke survivorship and create a cause that the public would feel compelled to support. Directed by Alex Dunning of Outsider and told through three families, the 60” film tells the first chapter of the survivor's stories - the immediate aftermath of diagnosis and discovering the many physical and cognitive impacts of a stroke, often being unable to move, speak, swallow or even see. The film highlights these frightening, disorientating and life-changing moments for the survivors and their loved ones.
