Drake Cooper created This Is an Anti-Drug Ad, a public awareness campaign in Idaho that challenges traditional anti-drug advertising by celebrating the everyday experiences that make a drug-free life worthwhile. Rather than relying on fear-based messaging or images of substance use, the campaign features sixteen uncut, 15-second films capturing authentic moments across the state, from base jumping and mountain adventures to family dinners and making a baby laugh. Each film simply introduces the message “This is an anti-drug ad,” allowing the moment itself to communicate the campaign's purpose. Developed with a network of local Idaho filmmakers, the campaign was brought to market in six weeks and extends across connected TV, online video, social media, digital out-of-home, paid search and a dedicated website.
