Chameleon
Marking a new chapter for one of advertising’s most recognizable mascots, Tootsie Roll’s latest campaign sees Mr. Owl step away from his traditional Tootsie Pop role to celebrate the brand’s wider range of chewy candy flavors. Joined by a playful color-changing chameleon, the commercial highlights the variety of Tootsie Roll flavors—including cherry, orange, lemon, lime, vanilla, and chocolate—using animation and character-driven storytelling to bring the assortment to life. Developed by Schafer Condon Carter with animation from Calabash, the campaign modernizes a beloved brand icon while introducing consumers to products beyond the classic chocolate roll. Rolling out across connected TV, social media, and digital platforms, the work blends nostalgia with fresh visual storytelling to increase awareness of Tootsie Roll’s expanding flavor portfolio.
