It’s A Small World
On the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, Ben Cohen’s new activist initiative Up In Arms collaborated with DCX Growth Accelerator to stage a cultural protest inside Disneyland’s It’s a Small World ride. A small ash-covered doll holding a “Remember Hiroshima” sign was placed among the colorful display, sparking viral footage and widespread media coverage. The act highlighted the human toll of war—particularly on children—and called for reducing Pentagon spending in favor of investments in schools, healthcare, and housing. The project demonstrates how cultural interventions and strategic creativity can turn activism into powerful public conversation.
