The Hug
To mark the start of motorcycle season, AKQA Brussels and the Flemish Foundation for Traffic Studies (VSV) launched a heartfelt campaign reminding drivers to watch out for motorcyclists on the road. Centered around the emotional metaphor of a hug — the embrace shared between rider and passenger — the campaign highlights how every motorcyclist has someone waiting for them at home. Directed by Jef Boes, a motorcyclist himself, the cinematic spot uses this powerful symbol to emphasize the vulnerability of bikers and the deep emotional ties they carry with them. Alongside the film, a striking sticker reinforces the message: motorcyclists deserve our full attention, not just for their safety, but for the sake of those who love them.
