Climate Realism
What if the landscapes immortalized in their day by painting masters with Vincent van Gogh were modified to account for the disastrous changes brought about by climate change ? The exhibition "Climate Realism" by the environmental organization WWF revolves around this question. With such a unique exhibition, in which AI has been involved, WWF intends to draw attention to the pernicious effects of climate change and illustrate what our future will be like if the increase in the planet's temperature exceeds the 1.5 degree barrier . In the new impressive WWF project, the works of extraordinarily well-known artists such as Claude Monet, Paul Gaugin or Camille Pisarro are transformed with the invaluable help of AI to imagine what the wonderful landscapes captured there will be like if temperatures continue to rise in an absolutely furious way in planet Earth. And it is that climate change brings under its arm a leafy bouquet of calamitous consequences: the rise in sea level, the disappearance of biodiversity and forest fires. At the center of the "Climate Realism" exhibition are eight famous landscape paintings that have been visually adjusted with AI to reflect the changes that are expected to take place up to the year 2100 under three different assumptions: strict limitation of emissions, the moderate limitation of emissions and the absence of limits on emissions.
