Barkley partnered with 826 National to create the Poets in Revolt! campaign video, a powerful spoken-word piece featuring young authors addressing systemic racism, gun violence, inequality, and other pressing social justice issues. The video stitches together student poems with vibrant illustrations by artist Kate DeCiccio, amplifying the voices of the next generation. Inspired by Amanda Gorman, who wrote the book's foreword, the project celebrates the transformative power of youth writing. Released alongside a white paper on educational inequities, the campaign calls for a more inclusive and equitable future while championing the belief that “writing is power.”
