Mobile Stationary Bike
Planet Fitness, in collaboration with Barkley, launched an April Fool’s Day prank introducing the world’s first mobile stationary bike. The concept humorously addresses the unrealistic fitness culture of expensive and extravagant workout equipment by creating a bike that, unlike typical stationary models, can actually be ridden outdoors. The ad features a woman struggling to ride the bike through cramped spaces, only to take it outside, encountering steep hills, bumpy roads, and honking cars. The campaign pokes fun at the absurdity of over-the-top fitness trends, highlighting Planet Fitness’ focus on accessible and realistic fitness solutions.
