Seek What Is Unique
Havas London, in partnership with global Havas Creative Network agencies, has launched its first work for Asahi Super Dry under the new global brand platform, Seek What Is Unique. Inspired by the beer’s crisp ‘karakuchi’ taste and a spirit of curiosity, the campaign reimagines a Tokyo night out as a cinematic adventure through neon-lit streets, culminating in a surreal encounter with a singing puffer fish—an unexpected metaphor for the brand’s bold flavour. Directed by award-winning duo Alaska and produced by Iconoclast, the visually striking hero film was shot authentically on location across Tokyo’s vibrant backstreets. The campaign, supported by a new global design system, spans film, digital, OOH, and retail, and reflects Asahi’s ambition to celebrate modern Japanese aesthetics, elevate everyday moments, and connect with experience-seeking drinkers worldwide. With meticulous attention to cultural authenticity and creative collaboration, the launch sets the tone for Asahi’s global expansion and invites audiences to discover the unexpected—just like the beer itself.
