The Investment Issue
La Banque Nationale du Canada’s “The Investment Issue,” addressed the gender investing gap by reshaping how women’s media portrays money and equipping Canadian women with actionable financial tools. Launched on International Women’s Day 2024, the campaign united nine leading women’s magazines to embed investment-focused content, redesign back covers, publish co-created articles, and direct readers to over 300 financial literacy resources on National Bank’s “Women’s Finances” page. Amplified through influencer collaborations, video series, OOH, radio, and branch distributions, the initiative also introduced the “Invest in You” challenge, offering step-by-step guidance from female investors. The 360-degree approach reached over 6 million women aged 25–54, boosted female-driven traffic to investment pages by 21%, increased perceived commitment to gender equality by 130%, generated 9 million engagements, and doubled investment account openings by women, while securing a lasting commitment from magazines to permanently change financial narratives.
