The effort highlights rising melanoma rates in the UK and aims to address public complacency, as research shows only 27% of Brits take proper sun precautions. QR codes on the billboards link to expert advice, reinforcing the urgent message that sun damage can occur even in the UK. The idea, originally conceived by Tad Buxton and India Penny, won bronze in Ocean Outdoor’s Digital Creative Competition and was praised for its innovative use of technology and personal relevance.
