Created with creative agency Consider and directed by Knucklehead’s Hugh Rochfort, The Birdwatcher is a touching film following a young boy’s emotional journey to spot a kingfisher along the canal using directions left by his late Grandad—highlighting the powerful, generational bonds formed around these waterways. The campaign urges people to include the Trust in their Wills, emphasizing that canals are more than just waterways—they’re vital spaces for wildlife, communities, and cherished memories, now at risk due to reduced government funding.
