ASICS has launched a bold new campaign with Golin London, naming Felix the Samoyed as its latest ambassador to celebrate dogs as powerful motivators for movement and mental wellbeing. Backed by research showing that 69% of UK dog owners view their pets as their primary movement motivators—more than family or personal trainers—ASICS is redefining the concept of the athlete ambassador. The study, supported by Professor Brendon Stubbs of King’s College London, found dog owners not only exercise more but also score 20% higher in mental wellbeing. Felix, one of the internet’s favorite dogs, will lead the campaign as ASICS’ “spokesdog,” championing walking, running, and even zoomies. ASICS is also inviting Brits to nominate their own dogs to become official “Mind's Best Friend” ambassadors and share their movement stories using #MindsBestFriend to raise funds for mental health charities. As Golin’s Alex Wood notes, the campaign brings a joyful, everyday twist to sport, celebrating dogs as the world’s original exercise influencers.
