Save My Buns
COBS Bread launched a playful PR activation called “Save My Buns,” offering Canadians free freshly baked Gourmet Buns over the May long weekend (May 16–17) in response to so-called “bun-mergencies” at BBQs. Tapping into the cultural moment of summer gatherings, the campaign invited people to report issues like burnt, stale, or underwhelming buns via SaveMyBuns.ca, rewarding them with either home delivery in select cities or digital coupons redeemable nationwide. By reframing a common BBQ frustration with humour and immediacy, the activation positioned COBS as a helpful, quality-first brand while driving trial and reinforcing the idea that a great BBQ starts with a great bun.
