CUPRA’s HIC SUNT DRACONES campaign for the DarkRebel showcar is a cinematic global initiative shot in Iceland that draws on ancient cartography, where unexplored territories were marked with “Here be dragons.” Using dragons and monsters as metaphors for the fear of the unknown, the campaign positions the fully electric DarkRebel as a vehicle that dares to enter uncharted futures. Rather than portraying darkness as something to fear, it reframes it as a space of discovery and emotion, presenting the DarkRebel as a bold symbol of exploration and fascination with what lies ahead.
