Focus on What’s Unclear
De Baak explores the value of uncertainty in leadership and personal growth with a new brand campaign created by Dawn. Built around the invitation “Focus on what’s unclear,” the campaign challenges the conventional expectation that leaders should always appear confident and certain. Directed by Jara Moravec of Hamlet and shot entirely on film, the work uses shifting focus, light and shadow to embrace ambiguity, while photographer Stig De Block extends the deliberately out-of-focus visual language into the campaign photography. The understated, art-house-inspired campaign positions moments of doubt and uncertainty as opportunities for reflection, learning and growth.
