Bart the Old Fart
Hackensack Meridian Health’s “Bart the Old Fart” campaign, created by Doner, uses humor to address colorectal cancer screening. Featuring Bart, a witty elder encouraging younger audiences to get screened to “live to be an old fart” like him, the campaign aims to normalize colonoscopies as lifesaving procedures. Through five engaging spots—“Nap,” “Penny,” “Safe,” “Good Ol’ Days,” and “Fishing”—the campaign combines education with relatability to break stigmas and promote early detection, airing across social, streaming video, programmatic display, and CTV.
